Coraline

Just saw Coraline in 3D last night with Marisa and my sister. I thought it was awesome. It seemed very Tim Burton like and reminded me a lot of Nightmare Before Christmas (it was by the same director Henry Sellick). It looked really cool in 3D as well. If you want to go to the movies, I recommend seeing this first.

On the evening of May 26th I lost my girlfriend. She is 5'6", brown hair, and wearing a doctors outfit. It may have to do with her playing Doctor Mario for hours on end online, building up her rank amongst the world's elite.

Microsoft is full of it!

Here is a quote from Microsoft:

The Xbox 360 is "leading the charge in the U.S. and abroad." "This year will be the largest in the history of the video game industry, with Xbox 360 leading the charge in the U.S. and abroad," said Don Mattrick, a SVP in the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft. "History has shown us that the first company to reach ten million in console sales wins the generation battle. We are uniquely positioned to set a new benchmark for the industry."

So Microsoft claims yesterday that they are the first current generation home console to reach the 10 million units sold mark in the United States, and have sold 19 million worldwide to date. The Xbox360 launched in November 2005. The Nintendo Wii on the other hand has sold 8.8 million units to date in the US and 24.5 million units worldwide. The Wii launched in November 2006. So the Xbox360 with a 1 year head start managed to sell exactly 1.2 million units more in the US than the Wii, and a whopping 5.5 million fewer units worldwide than the Wii. Sounds like they have this current generation under lock and key. No doubt this chart of US console sales from arstechnica gives Microsoft even more to boast about...
