Ah the working life...
So I started my new job this week. It is pretty sweet, I work in an environmental lab. I am a lab technician, which essentially entails receiving and sending off shipments (of samples and empty containers to collect samples) and I also help with some of the experiments and lab maintenance. The people are all really nice and friendly, but it definitely is going to require some adjusting. I have become accustomed to my wake up at 9, apply for jobs, watch tv, go to the old lab for a 2-4 hours, then come back and relax. Now I actually have to grow up and wake up at 'normal' hours. I'm not complaining, I just am admitting the change is something that is taking some getting used to. I have new found respect for all you who started working full time a year ago. I am enjoying my work a lot, and I do have to admit it is nice to come home in the evening and have no homework or studying to do. I do miss school, and I will go back eventually for my masters/phd, but for now I am working to earn that valuable experience that will help me determine my future. I used to admire the people who were working full time last year, now I find myself admiring the people who are earning their graduate degree :)
