Mario Kart Madness
When I heard that Mario Kart 64 was coming out for the virtual console, I knew I would buy it day one. One of the big reasons is just how much fun multiplayer is on mario kart. When you are just playing single player, the comeback logic that the Mario Kart franchise is known for is really annoying. But for multiplayer, it makes perfect sense to have the comeback logic. Jim and I were playing 150cc on the mushroom cup, and it started with me winning the first race, Jim winning the second, and Jim winning the third race. I came in second when Jim won the 2nd and 3rd races, and he came in 3rd on the 1st race. So that left the standings with Jim having 21 points and I had 21 points. So this left Kalamari Desert to determine the winner. I fell behind after being ran over by Jim who had a star. Two blue shells later and I was catching up to Jim. We were coming up on the final couple of turns and I got an ultra mushroom. I managed to shoot across the desert and at the last possible second edge out Jim for the victory. Jim proceeded to pound the floor and let out cries of "Why!?!?" and "Noooo!". It turns out I won the race by a mere 2 hundreths of a second. The feeling of victory was sweet, but it also reminded me of why Mario Kart is just so much fun to play, win or lose.
